We ate at Carmine's about a year ago and loved it. Since then it has changed hands atleast twice that we know of. We ate there last night and were far from pleased. The pizza was good, but we found a bay leaf inside our pizza. Bay leaves do not belong in pizza sauce and they obviously use their marinara sauce on their pizza. Not a big deal and didn't think too much of it. We ordered Zeppoli's for dessert and were disappointed once again to learn that they used pizza dough to make them. Instead of being light and airy they were dense and doughy and the larger ones were raw in the center while the smaller ones were hard on the outside and chewy inside. The other issue we had was that I had ordered a glass of water for my drink. The first one came and tasted fine and had clearly come from their soda machine or some sort of filtered water system. When i got a refill, they decided to give me tap water which tasted disgusting and like chlorine. Even my husband, who said "water is water it all tastes the same" tried my two glasses and was disgusted by the tap water. We did let the waitress know after paying the bill and she kinda blew it off. It's clear that they are concentrating on the bar and entertainment outside rather than the restaurant inside. Only three tables inside on a Friday night is not a good sign. We will definitely not be returning. Such a shame as it was once a good place!

This place has gone downhill over the years. Focus used to be on quality food and NY style pizza. Now it appears the emphasis is more on the bar and outside bar. Want to be a sports bar? Give up on the Italian food because it's nowhere as good as it once was. Pizza used to be outstanding. Now, not so good. As usual the delay in getting food out was evident once again. Staff is more concerned about playing and texting on their phones. Owner spends more time sitting outside at the bar smoking (and hanging with blondie) then checking on his staff and customers. The move to this location and change of hands a few years ago has lead to the slow decline. Time to find a new pizza joint.

My wife and I went here last night, and I guarantee it will be the last night we do. Inside was not busy but the kitchen was obviously in total disarray. We started with a garden salad that was about as tasty as eating grass. From the time we finished the salad it took another 30 minutes for the pizza to get to our table. While it probably could have been good, the shell was thin as it should have been, but there was NOTHING crusty about this one. A terrible experience. Obviously we will not be back! I did feel sorry for the waitress as none of this was her fault.

Pizza is good ! It has a funky smell when you walk in but if you can get past the disinfectant Odor then you can enjoy pizza almost as good as New York!

The mussels are great and good pizza too! The outdoor patio bar is a nice laid back place to hang out. The staff is friendly, all in all this is a great neighborhood joint.

This is the second time Ive had pizza here.Is it this place or every place here in Florida that seems to smother the Pizza's with cheese. It seems no one can get the correct balance. The inside is dark and dingy,it needs to be improved. The spray painted black ceiling needs to go.

My hubby and I tried this restaurant based on good word of mouth from other people in town. We sat outside, but we did see the inside for about 10 seconds (when asking to sit outside)- definitely the outside was a nicer area, they should update the inside stat. Everyone was very nice and friendly with fast service. I ordered the mussels (the sign does say pizza & mussels after-all) and much to my surprise, you get A LOT of mussels- all of which were pretty good! The night we went they had a special on the pizza so we did a pepperoni & garlic pizza; the pizza was perfect! My husband is a NJ pizza snob and he thought it was great! I tend not to like thin crust- but this crust was perfect! The bottom all the way through was sturdy, without being burned or cracker-crisp. They had some great desserts I'm excited to go back and try. Great prices on the food & beer & great service while they're at it; we are fans.

I'm sad that this is no long Stevie Tomatoes, which was my favorite spot in the Cape. But this was my Grandfather's favorite spot. I tried their buffalo chicken pizza, which actually was solid. I had the shrimp scampi, which was just okay. The pasta was not fresh and the shrimp were a bit tough. Flavor was average. The chicken parm was much better and some of the better ones I've had. The service though is stellar. Location is good for me so I know I'll be frequenting when I'm visiting family.

I believe in second chances but rarely a third. Went in and had Buffalo Wings and Pepperoni Pizza. Wings were over cooked, pizza was soggy. At least the server was nice. Thanks for that.

I had to go back because I had a groupon. it was disgusting. the place literally has a gross smell. smoke comes right to your table from the outdoor bar. Italian restaurant that gives you bread plates but no bread. ceasar salad without cheese. I told the waitress and she said incredulously "Cheese on a salad". salad had Italian not ceasar dressing. Asked for anchovies and they charged me for them. salad was green lettuce with Italian dressing for $10 are you kidding me. I ordered lasagna & 10 min later waitress came back and said they did not have any & I should order stuffed shells cause they were the same DUH. I ordered Raviolis and they came with meat sauce MEAT SAUCE WITH RAVIOLI UNREAL. THEN they charged me an extra $2/for meat sauce I did not order. I ordered a side dish of meatballs delivered cold. My wife got eggplant parmesan that came slapped together with spaghetti and had cold ricotta between the pieces. IF YOU TRIED TO SCREW UP A DINNER YOU WOULD DO BETTER. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. $65 FOR A PIECE OF CRAP DINNER

This is our go to restaurant. It's close to home so we just come on up here during the week whenever we get the whim. The $10 pizza nights on Wednesday are great. They have awesome pizza. We always ask for ours a little well done so the crust is extra crispy. Half price appetizers on Tuesdays are great. If you like muscles this is the place to go!! They are the bomb and the red spicy sauce is awesome with them. Dip some of their awesome garlic knots in the sauce and your taste buds will be in heaven. Another favorite is the veal saltimboca fabulous with angle hair pasta. You can order just about anything and it will be delicious. We have never been disappointed by the food. Service is sometimes a bit slow. But we feel it is worth the wait!

We had been meaning to try Carmine Street for a while, as it's nearby. Happened to stop in one evening for pizza and it's our new favorite pizza place! We ordered the buffalo chicken pizza (super spicy and our favorite!) and a regular pepperoni and both were GREAT! Huge NY slices and lots of toppings! They have some good specials on certain nights... We've been back multiple times and have recommended it to others. We tend to stick to pizza and appetizers and they have all been great! Service is fantastic and we will go back again and again!

The pizza was great, but the chicken fingers were terrible. I was going to rate higher until the bill came. Fountain drinks were $2.60 each and no free refills which we did not see in the menu or told by staff. What restaurant charges for refills? The waitress was very good but the poor thing was the only one working and was rushing around trying to take care of everything. I would recommend the pizza for carry out but would never dine in there again.

A round pie is the only thing worth ordering. Just ordered a Sicilian and it was 8 slices of "terrible". For $16 and 8 slices opposed to a normal 12...and have it be awful? No thanks. Also had dishes like Eggplant Parmesan and it was inedible because the eggplant was raw. I'll continue to order a round pie since it's actually pretty good, closest to NY pizza in the Cape anyway.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
